As an educator that is plagued with an ADD personality and a mind that is riddled with either Mad Cow or Early On Set Alzheimer’s, I want to use what technology I have available to me and use it most efficiently. I’d like to learn more and be more proficient. I’d like our school, our district, our country to step up and embrace the new century and leave the thirteenth century teaching practices in the past.
I know we have so little precious time, but today's kindergartener has more technology skills than I ever dreamed of when I was first out of college. I need to be infused with new learnings and skills to reach my students, hold them to task and send then on. Pencils, paper and dittos won't make it anymore in the thirty second mind set of our Twenty First Century savey students.
